So long, farewell. You rose from treachery and you were brought down by treachery. My wife and mom certainly didn’t share my enthusiasm seeing Mahiaddin resigning as prime minister. They thought just because he could recite some prayers, he’s a damn good leader. Oh ye of low standards. How will history judge Mahiaddin? I can’t speak for everyone but 12,000 dead Malaysians are a clear hallmark of utter failure.
What now? Ideally I want Anwar, PH plus the rest of the opposition and some PH-friendly member of parliaments join to form a unity government. The other alternative is for UMNO to close ranks and somehow convince their PN friends (foe?) to support an UMNO prime minister. Who will prevail? We should know by this time next week the earliest or it could drag on longer. Let us pray for the best.
